Sanford Health offers physician recruitment incentive

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Sanford Health is rewarding people who help recruit a new physician to a rural community with a $5,000 incentive payment.

With 28,000 employees across nine states, Sanford Health is committed to providing care close to home through a system of hospitals, clinics and long-term care facilities. Anyone who provides the Sanford Physician Recruitment Department with the contact information of a potential new physician may be eligible for an incentive if Sanford Health hires that physician at a rural location. Some restrictions do apply.

“This new physician recruitment incentive program will help expand our recruiting efforts with the goal of bringing strong physician talent to our rural communities,” said Mary Jo Burkman, senior director of physician recruitment. “This program is a great way to reward an employee or a member of the Sanford rural communities for helping us locate the talent needed to offer our high level of quality care.”
