The Telegraph (UK) published a story about golfer Jack Nicklaus’s experimental procedure through Sanford Health, which removed stem cells from his abdomen and inserted them into his lower back, allowing him to be back on the golf course within a week entirely pain free. Previously, he could not stand for longer than 10 minutes or swing a golf club.

Sanford Health has been selected to host the 10th World Scientific Congress of Golf in September 2021. Great Shots and the Sanford Sports Science Institute Golf Research Lab in the Sanford POWER Golf Academy will play host to an array of presentations, workshops and keynote addresses.
On Jan. 15, at the Sanford Health Physician Recruitment event, Sanford Health announced a pledge of $300,000 per year to create a large scholarship program for students at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine. The USD Foundation will match the amount each year.
