Sanford Thief River Falls adds new providers

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn.Sanford Health Thief River Falls has added five new providers to its staff.

Michelle Neuschwander, APRN, CNP, is a native of Thief River Falls and specializes in geriatric medicine and internal medicine. Her services includes performing department of transportation physicals, performing joint injections, treating common illnesses and providing health education and counseling. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Samantha Hulst, NP, APRN, CNP, specializes in family medicine. Her services include preventative care and treatment for common acute or chronic health conditions. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.

Helia Farrokhzad, MD, is an internal medicine physician who treats common illnesses, provides pre-operative screenings, medicine consults, health screenings and routine physicals. She treats a variety of conditions, including: anxiety and depression, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), diabetes, gout, high blood pressure and respiratory infections.

Arshad Khan, MD, is a general surgery physician and is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Khan completed his fellowship in Pancreatic & Islet Transplant Surgery and Multi-organ Transplant Surgery at the University of Illinois, Chicago.

Heather Waldal, APRN, CNP, specializes in dermatology and is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners: Family Nurse Practitioner. Her idea of care is to collaborate with patients and provide personalized care that will make a positive impact.
