Sanford Pentagon to host basketball camp in Chamberlain

The camp is open to all students in grades K-12

CHAMBERLAIN, S.D. – The Sanford POWER Basketball Academy is hosting an outreach camp for Chamberlain area basketball players on Monday, July 1 at the Chamberlain Community Center City Hall.

The camp is open to all students in grades K-12 and is designed to bring the comprehensive skill training provided in Sioux Falls at the Sanford Pentagon to Chamberlain and the surrounding communities.

“We are really looking forward to taking our basketball program beyond the walls of the Sanford Pentagon and connect with basketball players from across the state,” said Pat Coughlin, academy director of the Sanford POWER Basketball Academy. “This is a great chance to learn some new skills on the court and have some fun, too.”

Each age group is divided into sessions, and all athletes will receive a Sanford Pentagon Academy t-shirt.

  • Session 1 – Grades K-5: Noon – 1 p.m.
    • Youth/Elementary – Cost per athlete: $24.04 (tax included)
  • Session 2 – Grades 6-8: 1-2:30 p.m.
    • Middle School – Cost per athlete: $34.69 (tax included)
  • Session 3 – Grades 9-12: 2:30-4 p.m.
    • High School – Cost per athlete: $34.69 (tax included)
