Each day, nearly 2,300 Americans die of cardiovascular disease. This breaks down to an average of one death every 39 seconds. February is American Heart Month and an opportunity to share the important information you need to know about heart disease — the leading cause of death in the United States.
In this program, Orvar Jonsson, M.D., with Sanford Cardiovascular Institute discusses signs and symptoms of heart disease as well as heart failure. Dr. Jonsson is the region’s only board-certified heart failure cardiologist.
This program originally aired in February 2018.
Sanford Health is one of the largest health care systems in the nation, with 44 hospitals and nearly 300 clinics in nine states and four countries.
