The benefits of breastfeeding are numerous and indisputable. Breast milk is proven to provide the right balance of nutrition for babies, is easier to digest than formula, boosts immune systems and can even help mothers lose weight after pregnancy.
Therese Marlette, a registered nurse and pregnancy coach at Sanford Health, is the guest on this edition of “A Better You.”
“It’s really important to keep breastfeeding in mind when you’re thinking about your families and helping them get the best start in life, helping babies get their best start in life,” said Marlette.
While breastfeeding is nature’s way of providing food and bonding for your baby, most new moms have questions and benefit from breastfeeding instruction and support. Like any new skill, breastfeeding takes patience and time.
