When someone is diagnosed with cancer, there is so much information to cover. A new report from CancerCare offers insight into challenges in making choices for treatment. “This study gives a voice to a topic that doesn’t get discussed enough,” said Christopher Sumey, M.D., medical oncologist/hematologist with Sanford Cancer Center.
This program goes one-on-one with Dr. Sumey to discuss the important findings from this report including tools to prepare a patient for a first appointment to awareness of second opinions and research opportunities for care.
You can learn more about the cancer care at Sanford Health in this podcast edition of “A Better You,” which airs Saturday mornings on KSOO-AM.
This program originally aired in January 2018.
